I would like to take a minute to thank you and tell you what a
positive change has occurred in my life, thanks to your knowledge and
expertise in the atlas orthogonal chiropractic.
It is by the grace of God that I even heard of you! I suffered from low back, hip and neck pain for approximately twelve years, along with fibromyalgia and TMJ. After just one adjustment I was able to go off my prescription pain medication (Vioxx). I can read again and work without constant neck pain and headaches. If my lower back or hip does flare up, a Tylenol or Aleve takes care of it. My whole life has improved as my body has started to heal and return to normal. I also suffered with terrible vertigo for six months before finding you. I have not had another episode. Doctors were never able to diagnose what was causing it, but I am convinced it was from my neck misalignment, along with the tight, sore muscles in my neck and shoulders. All have improved-thanks to this wonderful form of chiropractic care. I would also like to say that I saw other chiropractors for ten out of twelve years with little change. I never held alignment for any length of time. I now stay in alignment for months at a time. I have referred my son and daughter to you who have wonderful testimonies of their own! Along with many friends! I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done. I praise God that He led me to you. Sincerely,

I wanted to thank you for what you have done to help my neck. I
have suffered for years with neck problems. I have tried traditional
chiropractic treatment and massotherapy but the problem still
continued. I would have pain that ran down my right arm to my
ring and pink fingers. I was getting very frustrated because
this past spring, even though I had regular adjustments, I was getting
worse. I had a constant catch in my neck and constant pain.
Finally, my mother told me about a new type of treatment called Atlas
Orthogonal. She told me how it had helped her and my dad, as
well as a friend of theirs who was supposed to have surgery to relieve
the pain from her sciatic nerve. This friend tried Atlas
Orthogonal and the pain was relieved right away and she didn't need
surgery. I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it because what I was
doing wasn't working. So in May of this year, I came to your
office in Columbus and after one adjustment I was back in alignment.
It took a couple weeks for the irritated nerves in my neck to calm
down but once they did, I had no more neck pain or catching in my
neck.
I have only needed a couple adjustments since then. I have told
many people about atlas orthogonal care. I highly recommend it
to anyone. It's worth the 2 hour drive to Columbus!
Sincerely
Janice D.

I have always been bothered by back problems during my adult lifetime. Within the last 3 years, my neck had begun to accompany the back pain, along with pain in my hips, thighs, and ankles. I tried to ignore it, assuming it was the beginning of arthritis, since I was involved in sports since my high school years. (During that time, I was injured-sprains, strains etc. and did not seek medical advise-many times.) A year ago headaches began to come and go and my thought process seemed ‘foggy”. I figured menopause was to blame for this. Soon I could not function without taking some type of pain relief (Advil, Tylenol) and even those medications did not work to alleviate the pain. It was during a massage session (I truly believe massage helps mind, body and soul), that my masseuse told me about Dr. Ellwood and Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic. I sort of cringed at the idea of seeing another chiropractor. (I had been seen by a few and they helped my pain but the relief was fleeting in a few weeks. Besides, I disliked the jerking of my neck and spine-it was scary!) What did I have to lose? I made and appointment with Dr. Ellwood and met with him. He thoroughly explained the difference between chiropractic and atlas orthogonal chiropractic methods. This seemed to be a more precise approach, which I agreed with. So I began my corrections and treatments with Dr. Ellwood. After 2 sessions, I no longer had the headaches and neck pains. After the 3rd, my leg pain disappeared. My corrections have lasted about 3 months and I returned to Dr. Ellwood for another treatment. The treatments are painless and quick. Dr. Ellwood takes his time reviewing your chart and progress and he explains everything. Thank you Dr. Ellwood.

When I was
diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) I was relieved. I was thankful that
someone finally knew where this terrible pain in my face was coming from.
However, the more I read about TN the sooner I realized that the diagnoses was
not a relief after all. TN is a horribly painful thing, with no “cure” only
treatment. Treatment, which I soon found was almost as bad as the Trigeminal
Neuralgia. The medication that I was given to treat the TN had horrible side
effects and only relieved the pain temporarily. I began to look for other
options. I thought that I may have to consider surgery to relieve the pain, but
the surgical options were very frightening and had no guaranties that they would
get rid of the pain, so I continued searching for help. I came across some information on Atlas Orthogonal
Chiropractic, and how it has helped TN patients. So I began to research the
procedure and to look for a doctor who specialized in it. That is how I found
Dr. Ellwood. He was 2 hours from my home, but after speaking to him on the phone
I knew I had to go and at least find out if he could help
me. After only one adjustment, the pain was gone.
However, I was still taking my medication, so I began cut back so I would better
know how I was feeling. During my second appointment Dr. Ellwood adjusted my
Atlas once more, and that was it. I saw him several times over the next four
weeks, but needed no additional treatments. Now, several months later, I am off
all of my medication, and I am pain-free. Dr. Ellwood and Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic gave me
my life back. Prior to being treated by him I was in constant pain. Not a day
went by that I wasn’t tortured by the pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia. I could
barely stand to go to work each day, because of the pain and the side effects
from the medication. Now, I wake up every day thankful for being pain-free and
thankful to Dr. Ellwood for his dedication to helping people like
me.

Painful symptoms relieved by Dr. John
Ellwood

Teeth grinding, a broken tooth, a loosened
dental cap, the inability to chew properly. Tired and sore jaw muscles, to
the point that it was difficult to open my mouth, and jaws that locked,
cracked, and clicked. Earaches and neck aches, shoulder pain, sensitive
teeth, and loose teeth. This was just some of what I was experiencing in
early 2001. Although not life-threatening, these symptoms were effecting
my quality of life and needed attention. I wasn't even aware of what was
happening to me at night while I slept until my dentist suggested that my
jaw might be out of place. I was concerned that I might need a special
orthopedic mouth guard to prevent clinching, but after I have the teeth
damage corrected, I visited Dr. John Ellwood. Dr. Ellwood worked on my
neck, beginning in October. With just a few treatments there was great
results. My soreness disappeared, my neck pain and earache went away, and
I was finally able to chew again without pain.

| I am a 83 year old active working male. For over 20 years I have doctored with chiropractors. On the 27th of September, 2000 I tripped and fell face forward on my hands and knees. I felt no immediate pain. The next morning I could hardly get out of bed. I went to my family medical doctor. He gave me medication and concluded that I had a pulled hamstring. For several weeks I suffered. Then I contacted Dr. Ellwood. Dr. Ellwood did a most thorough examination, including x-rays. In consultation, Dr. Ellwood explained this new procedure of chiropractic. I agreed to the procedure. Dr. Ellwood gave me the treatment on a Tuesday, and in turn on Thursday. Previously, I had lost much of my normal gate of walk, and had much pain before the treatment. Two days later the pain was gone and I was returning to many of my activities. Six weeks later I have my total health-walking, lifting, and free from the side effects of pain. I highly recommend the work of Dr. Ellwood. |
